The Residenza Elettiva visa (rentier visa) grants Italian residence permit to financially independent individuals with a minimum passive income of €30,960 per year. Passive income includes dividends, rental income from real estate, and income from brokerage accounts. Proof of address in Italy is also required — either owned property or a rental agreement.
